Discuss ideas to get Americans back to work Washington, D.C - Today, members of the New Democrat Coalition's Innovation and Competitiveness Task Force met with Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) to discuss ways to spur job growth and put Americans back to work. The discussion was focused on the need to enact innovative policies that will encourage businesses to create jobs, train workers and students for 21st century employment, and spur innovation and research so U.S. workers and businesses can compete globally.

Coalition leaders discuss economic growth, job creation and global competitiveness Washington, D.C. - Today, members of the New Democrat Coalition Leadership met with Commerce Secretary Gary Locke to discuss shared priorities for economic growth, job creation, innovation and global competitiveness. New Dem Chair Representative Joseph Crowley (NY-07), and Vice-Chairs Representative Melissa Bean (IL-08), Representative Ron Kind (WI-03), Representative Allyson Schwartz (PA-13), and Representative Adam Smith (WA-09), took the opportunity today to discuss the upcoming Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation summit and opportunities for working together in the future to improve the competitiveness of American businesses and workers.
